How to apply for Texas Learner Permit?
The Teen residents of Texas whose age is below 18 years and intend to apply the Texas Class A or Class B or Class C driver’s license, before getting the Texas Provisional License they must apply for the Learner License through Texas GDL Program and after getting it, the holder must hold it for a minimum period of 6 months.

- Download the Texas Driver Hand Book.
- Prepare for the Texas Knowledge test.
- After the successful preparation for the Texas Knowledge test.
- Visit Texas’s DPS Official Portal.
- Download the DL-14A form applying for Learner Permit.
- Before filling the application form, once go through the form and fill the form with correct information.
- Select your nearest Texas Driver License Office.
- To avoid the line at the Texas Driver License Office.
- Book an appointment applying for Texas Learner at the selected Texas Driver License Office.
- On the day of your appointment, Visit the selected Texas Driver License Office along with the required documents and the prescribed fees applying for Texas Learner Permit.
- Submit the filled DL-14A form along with the supporting documents to the Customer Service representative.
- After the successful verification of your DL-14A form along with the supporting documents, Customer Service representative issues Texas Learner Permit.
