How to Renew New York Driver License Online?
The Government of New York through DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) issues driver Licenses to all the eligible residents of New York. It’s the Driving License holder’s responsibility to renew the driver license on time if you don’t renew your driver license on time you have to face the consequences of paying fine etc. The New York DMV allows renewing the existing driver license one year before it expires and allows up to 2 years after the date of expiry. If the expiry date crosses 2 years then there will be no excuses to renew you have to apply for a new one. The New York DMV issues the renewed driver license with 8 years validity.

New York Driver License Online Renewal Process:
- Select any approved eye test center.
- Pass the eye test.
- After passing the eye test, Visit the New York DMV official portal.
- Select the Online Services option from the main menu.
- Select the Renew License online Option.
- A window will be displayed, with an online driver license renewal application form.
- Fill the application form, upload the required supporting documents and pay the prescribed fees.
- After the successful fees payment, submit the application form.
- A temporary license in a PDF format will be displayed download it and print it.
- You can use this temporary license until your renewed license arrives.
- The renewed License will be mailed to you within 10 working days.

- Download the Application form applying for Enhanced or REAL ID Permit (MV-44EDL). Or
- Download the Application form applying for Standard Driver License (MV-44).
- Fill the application form; attach the supporting documents, prescribed fees for renewing the driver license.
- Fees can be paid in the form of a Cheque or Money Order (in the Favor of Commissioner of Motor Vehicles).
